CONTEST FOR NAMING OF SKI HILL
During the first part of January a contest was staged in the Sixth, Seventh, and Eighth Grades of the City and Schofield Schools, for a name of the new Winter Playground.
Approximately 750 pupils suggested names with their explanations of three lines.
Miss Alice Burlick, Schofield, whose name WAU-SKI-TO, which means Wausau-Ski slide-toboggan, was awarded the first prize of a six foot toboggan.
The rest of the participants in this contest are to be rewarded with a free ride on the toboggan slide.
