The Wausau Nordic and  Rib Mountain Ski Clubs have joined forces to provide the public an opportunity to buy and sell premium Nordic and Alpine equipment and clothing in a local venue.

Checks/unsold Equipment Pickup: Sat, Nov 2, 4pm – 5:30pm

How to Buy:

  • Come to the Public Sale at the time listed above.

  • Browse the equipment and clothing.

  • Pay at the register. – Cash, Checks (with ID) and Visa, MasterCard and Discover (3% convenience fee for credit card transactions).

  • Pick up your check! during the pickup time listed above only. (Unclaimed checks will be mailed)

  • Pick up unsold equipment! during the pickup time listed above only. (Unclaimed equipment will be disposed of)

Ski Swap FAQs:

  • Are credit cards accepted?
    Yes, The Wausau Ski Swap will accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover Card (with 3% convenience fee), as well as
    cash and checks (with photo ID).

  • Is there a warranty?
    No Refunds, returns, or warranties. All sales are final.
  • Can I buy gear on Friday night or Saturday morning before the Wausau Ski Swap is open to the public?
    No early public sales!
  • Is there a charge for Wausau Ski Swap services?
    Yes, Wausau Ski Swap charges private consignees twenty-five percent (25%) of the sales price as commission.
  • What if some one walks off with my stuff?
    Wausau Ski Swap will not be responsible for lost, stolen or damaged equipment. You are selling your equipment at your own risk.  We will have security at the doors and we do our best to control loss, but ultimately we are unable to control all risks.
  • What happens if someone buys my equipment?
    When your equipment sells, our software will keep track of the sale.  Come in at the pick-up time listed above to get your check and a print out of what has or has not been sold.
  • What equipment will not be allowed in the Swap?
    NORDIC: Three pin bindings, cable bindings except on “bush / wilderness” skis, poles without baskets, skis that have been “re-glued”, torn / well used clothing.

    ALPINE: Straight skis, rear entry boots (older models), poles without baskets or bent, anything with rust (except edges), torn / well used clothing, helmets w/o labels,
    Be Aware: Some equipment is no longer serviced or recommended for continued use by its manufacturer or local centers. The clubs will NOT allow sale of equipment that presents a danger.
